January 29, 2014-I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful scenery of the snow that God has blessed us with. I do not get that excited about weather such as this anymore for several reasons, one of those being that I do not like to drive in it. With that being said as I was dreading the incoming weather and knowing I would have to be out in it to get to and from work I was reminded of a verse of scripture that fits this situation and so many other situations that we encounter.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV)

18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

This verse reminds me that just because I do not like something or that something does not fit into what I want we are still to praise God for His blessings! God has a purpose for everything He allows to come into our lives and His protection is always around us. So, after rethinking my thoughts on our current weather situation I thank God for it because it sure was a pretty sight this morning when I first stepped out my front door and I was able to see God’s beautiful work of art untouched by man.

I pray we will praise God in every situation that we encounter and that we will rely on God in everything that comes our way. Stay warm, play hard and thank God in everything.
